The Nike Jordan Air Ship PE SP Opium is a high-top basketball sneaker featuring a leather upper in Sail with Black overlays at the tip, arch bandage, and lace panel, while Court Purple encircles the collar. The Nike Swoosh adorns the sides in Black, and Nike Air branding with stars appears on the rear heel, tongue, and tip. Pops of Blue Chill and a Sail midsole and Black outsole complete the aesthetic.
Nike has been collaborating with NBA legend Michael Jordan since the 1980s, and the Jordan series of styles has become one of Nike’s most iconic styles to use for limited run designs. For the Jordan Air Ship, Nike collaborated with Paris-based sneaker boutique Opium to create a color palette that references the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets, a nod to Michael Jordan’s North Carolina roots.
