At the Black Vegas Gold Nike Air DT Max '96, the eye-catching color palette draws inspiration from the home jerseys worn by the University of Colorado at Boulder’s Colorado Buffalos, a football team coached by Sanders. Vegas Gold accents start from the midsole and claw their way up the upper’s black leather and synthetic leather. A midfoot strap displays a mini Swoosh in Vegas Gold and provides a secure closure over the black laces. Completing the look, visible Air Max units in the heel provide responsive cushioning and pay tribute to designer Tinker Hatfield.
