Kanye West breathed new life into a largely forgotten adidas tennis shoe when he collaborated with the brand on the Powerphase. Kanye's involvement exposed the simple model from the 1980s to an entire new generation of fans. In March 2018, the Yeezy Powerphase released in another clean tonal look. The adidas Yeezy Powerphase "Core Black" applied the dark shade across the entire sneaker. The “Core Black” version of the sneaker sold out almost instantly at retail, making it yet another highly coveted release from Kanye and the Three Stripes.
